I am honored whenever I get a commission. It means that someone trusts me
to paint a painting that will become part of their lives. Work doesn’t
get any better that that! I take many
different kids of commissions. Although most commissions are portraits,
consider landscapes, flowers or abstracts, too. I have done several
portraits of horses and gardens. Also a painting of a bridal
bouquet becomes a unique and special way to remember a wedding.
Commissioning a painting is simple. Send me a note telling me about what kind of painting you want. Attach photographs if possible. This will start a conversation that will help us figure out the content and style of the painting as a team. Then I create several sketch that will give you an idea of what the painting will look like. I will email you the sketches. You review them and make suggestions. Once you approve the sketch, I will paint an original oil or pastel painting. Once it is done, you can choose from several choices of frame and the beautiful painting will arrive ready to hang!
